Samantha Hinds (she/her) is an American writer, performer, and activist currently at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society at Harvard University as Director of Communications. Hinds spearheaded the launch of foundational work on media manipulation and disinformation online at Data & Society Research Institute. Before pivoting to emerging tech, Hinds worked in cultural projects including Creative Time and The New Inquiry, as well as accountability projects in human rights at the International Center for Transitional Justice. As a New Yorker, she maintains an experimental multimedia art practice with an emphasis on extreme music and ritual performance.
