With 25 years of global experience in environmental conservation, Marianne leads The Nature Conservancy’s Europe team to catalyze the organization’s global conservation efforts with European changemakers. Originally from Norway, she grew up surrounded by nature and ventured to Latin America to kick-start her career in environmental protection and advocacy. Marianne was the first female regional director at The Nature Conservancy and over the years she has advised major business, government and finance leaders to accelerate public and private funding, policies and conservation programs to tackle the biodiversity and climate crisis. Marianne currently lives in Berlin, Germany.
