John is a conservationist and an economist with a passion for designing regenerative business concepts and models. He has led Suriname's negotiations at the UNFCCC, designed the national forest & climate program, led Conservation International Suriname for 10 years; all that alongside having started various ventures throughout his career. His mission in life is to build Suriname's climate resilience by saving its forests and maintaining its biodiversity for current and future generations.
