Erik is the managing director of NuFrontiers, the strategic investment arm of Nutreco, a global industrial company in feed, animal nutrition and aquaculture. He works in the interface between investments, open innovation, and portfolio value creation. Erik is especially interested in how novel raw materials/ingredients, data-driven precision farming and alternative protein have the potential of transforming global food systems. Prior to joining Nutreco in 2019, he led the oceans and seafood practice of a UK-based corporate finance boutique focusing on seed, venture and growth equity deals in Agritech and Foodtech. Erik is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and holds an MSc degree in International Business & Emerging Markets from the University of Edinburgh.
