Alex spent the first 4 years of his career in the banking industry, but eventually came to the conclusion that the reason he didn't really like it was that it didn't fit with his values.
His first role in the impact world was with boutique consultancy firm PlusValue, advising clients in the public sector on strategies to encourage and nurture impact-focused businesses. At PV, Alex worked with the UN and the Gates Foundation to launch an impact accelerator in Istanbul - focussed on tech solutions challenges experienced by refugee communities such as digital ID.
At the Conduit Connect, he spends his time sourcing and conducting DD on the most promising seed and series A impact ventures globally. He loves to learn – so the weirder, wilder and geekier the better.
